Celebrity chefs from some of Kansas City’s finest restaurants will compete in Operation: War Fare, a World War I-themed cooking competition, on Thursday, April 23 in the Auditorium at the National World War I Museum.
Chefs from Affäre, Grünauer, Renee Kelly's Harvest and Webster House will compete for the War Fare Cup in an Iron Chef-style event hosted by Room 39 chef Ted Habiger with each restaurant providing free samples of World War I-related food. Chefs participating in the competition include Martin Heuser (Affäre), Nic Bandelier (Grünauer), Renee Kelly (Harvest) and Matt Arnold (Webster House).
The event begins at 5:30 p.m. with a cash bar cocktail hour that includes a free World War I-themed amuse-bouche from the restaurants with the competition set to begin at 6:30 p.m.
