The Imperial War Museums’ Director-General Diane Lees addressed Kansas City area leaders during a presentation on Friday, Jan. 10 at the National World War I Museum at Liberty Memorial.
Lees, Director-General of the United Kingdom’s Imperial War Museums, visited Kansas City and the National World War I Museum for the first time. Lees discussed the role of the Imperial War Museums in conjunction with the upcoming worldwide commemoration of the World War I Centennial in 2014.
The Imperial War Museums is a collection of five museums in the United Kingdom and is viewed as one of the world’s leading authorities on war and conflict with a collection of more than 10 million objects and documents.
